This is a word that most of us will be familiar with. Sometimes it is constant, sometimes it comes and goes, sometimes you know why you have and sometimes you don't. Sometimes it is a good sign (birthing a baby;), sometimes it is downright terrifying.
In a Chiropractic office, pain is often a blessing in disguise because it brings you in and helps you avoid bigger problems that could potentially cause permanent damage to your body.
Everyone suffers from pain at some point in time. Sprained ankles, having a baby, sports injuries, stubbed your toe on the bedrame...
But, other more malicious things can cause pain as well: kidney stones, gallbladder stones, appendicitis, some cancers, broken bones to name a few.
Pain is your body’s signal for help. Pure and simple: it's a "SOS" message.
Whether it signals direct danger like being in an accident, or an illness or an underlying condition you aren’t even aware of yet, pain gives you the signal you need to act.
The best thing you can do about pain is to figure out what is causing it. Easier said than done right?
Googling your pain can be helpful, sometimes. But you should think twice before relying on your self diagnosis - you could be wrong :) It happens.
However, having a trusted physician on your healthcare team can make all of the difference between relaxing and knowing you're and moving forward with more intensive actions/care when appropriate.
Through our Alpha 5 Phase System, we look at the bigger picture: relieving pain first.
Followed by restoring better spinal and pelvic motion, rebuilding strength, retraining healthier movement patterns, and helping you reclaim confidence in your body.
Sounds GREAT right? If you think so, then
However, some people will need a smaller first step. No problen.
We understand that going to a new office, meeting a new doctor, driving to a new location, working with staff you don't know, it can be so-much-stress.
Well, if that is how you are feeling,
is for you.
You will still have to drive to a new office, meet a new doctor and staff BUT
has abbreviated paperwork, the functional exam is 5 moves and you can still sit down knee-to-knee
with the doctor and chat for a few minutes. Not long, no pressure. Just a direction to start moving when the visit is over.
You never know, you might love us 😁
